Think sexy US pin up bikini models in Japan and you think of Leah Dizon, the Nevada girl who became a Jpop star. In the US when they think of Japanese models, they probably think of Playboy model Hiromi Oshima, and Playboy model Maya Sakura.
As beauty is customized for local audiences, (see Leah Dizon’s transition to a more Japanese look and style), both Hiromi and Maya have become much more Americanized in their look and appeal to cater to Gaijin fantasy. Though not much is heard of Hiromi these days, Maya has launched her own website and is still flashing those amazing abs that show she doesn’t need the rodeoboy for exercise.

Beautiful Japanese actress and gravure idol Megumi Yasu 安めぐみ has released 2 new bikini DVDs this year Megumi Biyori めぐみ日和 and May’s Iyashi no Susume 癒しノススメ. She has also been busy with TV projects including the current TV Tokyo live-action adaptation of Kei Horito’s manga “Hisho no Kagami,” also known as “The Model of Secretary 秘書のカガミ. In this role Megumi Yasu plays a miniskirt wearing, karate chopping, temp secretary named Yutaka Kagami who faces off against various problems at the office such as the sexual harassment caused by her male co-workers and the incompetence of her boss. Megumi had taken up kickboxing to help her play the part but its her high kicks in a miniskirt that have caused a buzz on internet forums.
