Bangs Garcia: Intimidated to work with Juday?

After turning 21 last May 24, Bangs Garcia is all set to start her next project after Palos with the nurserye Humingi Ka sa Langit, which also stars Judy Ann Santos and Derek Ramsay. Bangs considers this role a big opportunity since she will be working with an award-winning actress.

"Nung nag-story conference, I felt medyo awkward and intimidated. Intimidating kasi si Juday na yun, superstar na yun eh. Pero okay naman siya makatrabahoMabait naman siya nung nakatrabaho ko," Bangs says. Add to the fact that they had to do a dramatic scene on their first working day together, things turned out well under the circumstances. "Nakakatawa kasi yung first eksena namin dapat feeling close. I have to hug her na parang close talaga kami so ang nasa isip ko, ‘Nakakahiya naman ‘to,’" she recalls.

But whatever reservations she had about working with Juday all but disappeared when she got to spend more time with the actress. "Ngayon, nalaman ko na si Judy Ann pala kalog. She’s cool to work with. Hindi mo mafi-feel na parang si Judy Ann na siya. Sobrang bait niya. ‘Pag nakatrabaho mo na siya, mafi-feel mo yung warmth niya. So I’m glad that I’m working with her now. It’s a very good opportunity," she adds.

Bangs also talks about how she feels about being lucky enough to be paired with the hottest guys in the biz like Jake Cuenca (in Palos) and Derek Ramsay, but she refuses to make a comparison between the two. "Medyo mahirap kasi pareho lang silang hot. Pantay. Kasi I worked with Jake na so being with him, ma-o-observe mo talaga yung pagkatao niya. So I can say Jake is really hot. With Derek naman, [just] seeing him is already hot! (laughs)" she admits.

She also dismisses persistent rumors pointing to her as the reason for the Jake Cuenca-Roxanne Guinoo breakup. "It’s true that we went out before pero that was the time that they broke up na. Nagkaron ng misunderstanding with the press [before] and akala nila ako yung reason kung bakit nag-break [sila]. I was being safe din. Ayoko rin ng ganun, baka maging panakip-butas lang ako if ever. Kung ano meron sila, sana ipagpatuloy nila kasi sayang din," she says.

After posing in a skimpy swimsuit on the cover of StarStudio magazine some months back, it’s not any surprise that she’s been fielding offers from different men’s magazines lately. "I was supposed to have a cover shoot na this month. But napag-usapan namin na I’m not ready pa. Saka na muna. I don’t know when, but most probably within this year."

The pretty Davaoena also says that she wants to have a wholesome yet sexy image. "I’m not ready in terms of yung image na sexy talaga. Kasi gusto ko pa rin maging wholesome na sexy. Kasi pag nag-men’s magazine ka na, iba na yung tingin sa ‘yo ng tao. Mag-iiba na talaga image mo. Although puwede mo pa rin naman siya i-tone down. In my own perception, you can be sexy without taking off your clothes totally. It’s a matter of your projection on how you carry yourself. So puwede ako magpa-sexy ng hindi ganun ka-daring," she stresses.
