On this date in 1981, the soundtrack to Urgh! A Music War was released. The album had 27 songs but did not include all of the performances in the movie. Instead, it only included 27 handpicked songs that would fit on a double album. Artists like Dead Kennedys and John Cooper Clarke did not make the cut.
