First up is pneumatic American burlesque hottie cum musical stage actress Sherry Britton who wiggled her last at the age of 89 as did the equally foxy Kay Linaker, ex daughter of Fu Manchu and later screenwriter of The Blob.

Johnny Byrne, 73, professional Irishman and cult Teevee writer for such shows as Space: 1999 and Doctor Who (he created the Mryka!) died aged 73 joining other spacey luminaries as John Archibald Wheeler, 96, the American physicist who coined the term "black hole" and The Omega Man himself Charlton Heston, who finally became Soylent Green at the age of 84.

Kids Teevee art god and fellow Midlander Mark Speight, 42, sadly committed suicide by hanging whereas Swiss ice skating comedian (and part of the legendary Frick and Frak duo) Werner "Frick" Groebli went all slushy at the ripe old age of 92.

Fat Mexican comedian, TV 'personality' and Matt Groening's model for Barney, Miguel Galván, had a cake induced heart attack at the age of 50.
