The topic today was Valentine's Day, but the first thing that comes to mind is my love of music. Though I have no musical talent, music is an instrumental (no pun intended) part of my life. As could probably be expected, the lyrics are much more important to me than the genre of music. I have included some song lyrics that speak to me. I think these probably tell more about me than what I actually write myself. Some are just a line from a song and some I found it necessary to include the entire song, as it was worthy. Here are 13 that come to mind, oh no it is 26. My bad. Once I got started, I couldn't trim it. You are lucky there are not 52. You will note that I generally include pictures with my posts. I can't do that here. It would only detract. The pictures are in the words.

9. A smile seemed to come to her slowly,
It was a sad smile, just the same.
And she said, "How are you Harry?"
I said, "How are you Sue?
Through the too many miles

It was somewhere in a fairy tale,
I used to take her home in my car.

He sounds too blue to fly

I’m so lonesome I could cry
I’ve never seen a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moon just went behind a cloud
To hide its face and cry
Did you ever see a robin weep
When leaves begin to die
That means hes lost the will to live
I’m so lonesome I could cry
The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder where you are
I’m so lonesome I could cry
I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry – Hank Williams

All my life though some have changed.

25. See him wasted on the sidewalk in his jacket and his jeans,
Wearin' yesterday's misfortunes like a smile
Once he had a future full of money, love, and dreams,
Which he spent like they was goin' outa style
And he keeps right on a'changin' for the better or the worse,
Searchin' for a shrine he's never found
Never knowin' if believin' is a blessin' or a curse,
Or if the goin' up was worth the comin' down
He's a poet, he's a picker
He's a prophet, he's a pusher
He's a pilgrim and a preacher, and a problem when he's stoned
He's a walkin' contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction,
Takin' ev'ry wrong direction on his lonely way back home.
He has tasted good and evil in your bedrooms and your bars,
And he's traded in tomorrow for today
Runnin' from his devils, Lord, and reachin' for the stars,
And losin' all he's loved along the way
But if this world keeps right on turnin' for the better or the worse,
And all he ever gets is older and around
From the rockin' of the cradle to the rollin' of the hearse,
The goin' up was worth the comin' down
He's a poet, he's a picker
He's a prophet, he's a pusher
He's a pilgrim and a preacher, and a problem when he's stoned
He's a walkin' contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction,
Takin' ev'ry wrong direction on his lonely way back home.
There's a lotta wrong directions on that lonely way back home.
